About the event
Whether you are a novice home cook, amateur culinarian, or professional chef, knowing basic knife skills
will make your experience in a kitchen even more rewarding. We will start off with understanding the
difference between honing and sharpening your knife along with basic knife maintenance. You will learn
about the different types of knives and their applications, how to properly hold a knife, and different
types of vegetable cuts. Learn how to professionally slice, dice, chop, and mince a variety of vegetables.
After the class, you will become more comfortable in your knife skills and prepping your meals at home
will no longer be a daunting task.
Please bring a personal Chef Knife or Santoku Knife and vegetable peeler to class. If you do not have
one, one will be available for use.
Meatbar Sandwiches or Picnic basket will be available for pre-order before class, 24 hour advance notice
is requested prior to class for food order.
